Do you want to learn Swedish?
Are you unemployed and not registered with Arbetsförmedlingen? Take this fast track to Swedish and be better prepared for the job market or further studies and to know your way around the Swedish society.
In the React-EU KOM project, we now offer courses in the Swedish language and information about the Swedish labour market for foreign-born individuals.
The courses are approximately five months long. They are mostly based on online teaching and focuses on oral communication. We have very good possibilities to adapt the course after individual needs, in order to make it easier for those with younger children. A few days a week we will meet at Samarkand in Ludvika to practice together, and the rest of the studies you can choose what is most suitable for you.
The courses will end with an assessment of the linguistic level obtained based on the European CEFR standard. The goal is to achieve the CEFR B2 or CEFR B1 level, which means you can use the language independently. This level is equivalent to SFI D, which is the highest level at SFI.
The first set of courses will start on 9th of May, and we will gradually accept participants until 1st of June. In July we will have a few weeks break for holiday. The second set of courses will start during the fall.
The courses are funded by the European Social Fund. To take part, each participant needs to meet the following criteria:
- The participant must be unemployed.
- The participant does not participate in any other education in the Swedish language, such as SFI or similar. If you participate in SFI today, it is possible to un-register and take our course instead. After the course finishes, there is a possibility to take a SFI examination to test your knowledge.
- The participant has a Swedish personal number and is registered at the tax office.
